Houserules

In the below overview, you will find the most important house rules we uphold at the Estherea Hotel Amsterdam. We point out to you that these rules form the foundation of our mutual understanding, and that with unforeseen situations, the management always decides the outcome.

Incidents and emergencies

  • Instructions given by employees of the hotel need to be followed at all time.
  • Stay calm in case of fire, or other emergencies. Report fires always at the reception and/or turn on the nearest fire alarm.
  • In the event of a (fire)alarm, leave the premised directly via the (emergency)exits and report yourself to our employees.
  • During an incident, please do not make use of the lifts.

Your stay

  • You are required to show your identification upon check-in. We do not check-in guests under the age of 18 travelling without supervision. On every room, at least one guest of the minimum age of 18 is staying.
  • Our rooms are suitable for 1, 2 or 3 guests. It is not permitted to stay in a room with more than the indicated guests in the room.
  • Our rooms are checked daily. Should you place the ‘do not disturb’ sign on the door, we will respect this at the maximum of 48 hours. We keep the right to, in case of emergencies, enter your room nonetheless.
  • Cameras are installed in the hotel, both in the public areas of the hotel as well as the direct surrounding of the hotel. Camera images are made and –according to the applicable laws- saved and used. The Estheréa Amsterdam always cooperates with judicial requests, and requests made from the official entities providing a order to do so.
  • You are requested to hand in any and all found items at the reception.
  • The Estheréa Hotel Amsterdam is not reliable and/or responsible for any damages, loss or theft of your possessions. Your room is equipped with a safe that you can easily setup with a personal code. In the unfortunate event your safe is not working, or you need help understanding the safe, please contact the reception.
  • The Estheréa Hotel and/or each associated to the hotel albeit an employee of Estheréa Hotels, her staff, suppliers or the by them invited guest, cannot be held accountable for any injury, and/or material or immaterial damages, that visitors could experience.
  • Should you willingly damage property, both material or immaterial, or bring injury to the property or employee of the Estherea Hotel Amsterdam, you will be held accountable for all repairing or renewal expenses.

It is prohibited to

  • Force emergency exits, and to use them as a normal entry or exit.
  • Take properties from the hotel out of the building without permission.
  • Use, possess, buy or sell, trade or give, drugs or any other illegal or intoxicating substances at the Estherea Hotel.
  • Use, possess, buy or sell, trade or give, laugh gas canisters at the Estherea Hotel Amsterdam
  • Create disturbance to other guests, staff or visitors in any way possible, e.g. by playing loud music, acting out, shouting, or any other method possible.
  • To be in a room with more than the allowed maximum number of guests. At any time.
  • Perform or experience sexual traits with payment in a hotel room.
  • Light candles, incent, or any other flammables in the hotel room due to the risk of fire.
  • Smoke or use cigarettes, cigars, joints or any other smoking item (including e-cigarettes, damp cigarettes etc.) anywhere in the hotel. Should we determine that there is or one has been smoking in the room you will be charged €150,- in additional cleaning expenses. Before re-entry to the room is granted you will be required to pay for these charges. In the event one cannot pay for this charge there will be no refunds made and requirement to check out will be processed.
  • Cover, remove or damage in any way possible, the smoke detector in your room. This detector is placed for your and our safety. Damaging it, covering it, or removing it will result in instant removal of one from the Estherea Hotel Amsterdam and no refunds will be provided to you.
