General

Is breakfast available, and what is the cost?

Yes, we offer a continental daily breakfast from 7-11 am (Saturday & Sunday till 11.30 am) for €24,50 per person. Children up to 12 years old can enjoy breakfast for free. If you book your breakfast in advance when reserving your stay, you can enjoy a special rate of €19,50 per person. This promotion is available exclusively for direct bookings with us. Reservations for breakfast are necessary.

Breakfast room service is available from 07:30 am - 10:30 am. 

What is the voltage in the Netherlands?

The voltage is 230 Volts and the frequency is 50Hz. The Netherlands has standardized on types C and F sockets and plugs.

Is the hotel accessible for guests with disabilities?

The hotel does not have special rooms for people with disabilities as our corridors are too narrow for a wheelchair.

Has the hotel an elevator?

The hotel has two elevators.

Are pets permitted?

Pets are not permitted at Hotel Estheréa Amsterdam. However, please note that we have two resident cats that occasionally wander around the lobby.

Check-in / Check-out

Can I leave my luggage at the hotel once I have checked out?

Absolutely, we can look after your luggage after you have checked out. 

I am arriving in Amsterdam in the morning. Is it possible to check in before 15:00 hours?

The official check-in time is 15:00 hours, but it goes without saying you would be very welcome before this time too. We will do our utmost to have your room ready as soon as possible. You could check in and leave your luggage with us whilst exploring the city. Would you like a guaranteed check-in before 15:00 hours? Then we would recommend booking an additional night.

Room facilities

Does the room include a hairdryer?

All our bathrooms are equipped with a hairdryer.

Will my room have views of the canal?

All Luxury Canal rooms boast views of the canal. The other rooms don’t offer views of the canal.  

What are the dimensions of the beds in the rooms?

Double beds vary from 140 cm wide to 180 cm wide. The single beds are 90 cm wide. All our beds are 200 cm long. 

What’s the size of the room I have booked?

All our rooms are different and therefore have different dimensions too. Our Classic rooms have a total surface area of 13 to 18 m². The Luxury rooms and rooms with views of the canal vary from 19 to 22 m². The family rooms are between 23 and 26 m² in size. The Suites are either 30 m² or 55 m².  

Does Hotel Estheréa offer rooms with interconnecting doors?

Yes, our hotel offers ‘connecting rooms’. This is only possible when booking a Luxury room.  

Do you have family rooms?

We offer familie rooms for three and connecting rooms to keep everyone close together. This is only possible when booking a Luxury room.

Do you have cribs for children?

Yes, cribs are available on request for children up two years old. Complimentary. Please advise the hotel in advance of your arrival for the need for a crib.

What type of room should I book for three adults?

A triple room.

Can I arrange for amenities or gifts to be placed in the room? What do you offer?

Our team would be more than willing to arrange or offer amenities for your stay. Please notify the hotel in advance of your arrival.

Hotel facilities

Is Wi-Fi available for free?

Yes, Wi-Fi is free of charge for everyone.

Is there a car park?

Yes, the hotel has an underground car park. You can park your car here for €55,- per 24 hours. Please note, your car may not exceed the following maximum dimensions: 510 cm x 205 cm x 195 cm (L x W x H) and a weight of 2000 kg. We regret informing you that we can not park electric or hybrid cars in our underground parking.

Does the hotel offer a smoking area?

No, Hotel Estheréa is completely non-smoking, which means you can’t smoke anywhere in the hotel. Violating this rule will result in a €150,- charge. You are, however, permitted to smoke outside. 

What is the hotel’s policy on bookings in the bar?

Maria’s Bar operates on a walk-in basis exclusively for hotel guests. We love to welcome you at:

Sunday to Thursday: 4:30 PM to 12:00 AM
Friday and Saturday: 4:30 PM to 1:00 AM

Additionally, room service is available daily from 7:30 AM to 10:00 PM.

Can I book my tours and excursions in the hotel?

Yes, you can book your tours and excursions at reception. 

What are the opening hours of the gym?

The gym is open 24/7.

Is there coffee and tea available?

Yes, we offer complimentary coffee and tea for our guests. During the day, you can also enjoy a variety of little pastries and sweet treats. Additionally, each room is equipped with a Nespresso machine.

Do you offer laundry service?

Yes, we do. You will find more information about our laundry service in your room. If you have any questions, please ask our front desk.

Transport

How do I get from the airport to Hotel Estheréa?

We would recommend taking a taxi. This will cost an average of €60,- for a regular taxi. A little bus ven for 6 persons cost an average of €105,-. You have the option of travelling to Amsterdam by public transport too. However, we wouldn’t recommend travelling by train if you have a great deal of luggage. We can also organise a Limousine pick-up at a cost of €95,-.

What is the walking distance to the city centre?

Credit card

What will you do with my credit card details?

When you make a reservation, we will complete a pre-authorisation on your credit card for the first night of your stay approximately one week before your arrival. A new authorisation will be completed during the check-in procedure for the costs of the entire stay, plus approximately €70,- for additional costs. This additional amount will be returned to you when you check out, providing the room has been left in good order.
